Like most Canadians, I gravitate to warmer beverages most months of the year (because the weather is typically cold and a coffee shop is just five minutes away). Lemonade was never something that I legitimately craved (most likely because my three older sisters played pranks on me when I was little and liked using sour lemons as weapons) ... but that all changed when I stumbled across Family Squeezed Lemonade!

It's hard to miss the Sticky Ricky's food truck rolling down Calgary streets in the summer time! With its Louisiana State University (LSU) inspired colours and shiny exterior you would think a party is coming to town. But ... don't let the purple food truck or compostable food containers fool you! What these guys dish out every day is pure culinary genius!

The day I stumbled into Heart's Choices Thai Vegan Cafe after hot yoga (with "yoga brain" in full effect) I knew in my gut there was something very special about this place. It wasn't until today that I truly understood the reasons why.

When I first moved back to Calgary there were three things that I needed to find RIGHT AWAY ... an apartment, a vehicle and a place to practice hot yoga. Moksha Yoga Calgary was the first thing I checked off that list!

I am fortunate to have befriended some of the most amazing human beings on the planet. James Lawrence (aka., the "Iron Cowboy") may be THE MOST inspiring person that I know. Born and raised in Calgary (now living in Linden, Utah), this father of five is doing something that nobody in the world has ever attempted before ... 50 full distance Ironman triathlons, in 50 consecutive days, in 50 different states! Keep in mind a full distance Ironman triathlon consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run (a total of 7,030 miles that he will physically travel in 50 consecutive days). SERIOUSLY!!
